Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Unzip Online at unzip.online and its subdomains (such as 7z.unzip.online and bz2.unzip.online). By using the service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Unzip Online lets you upload compressed archives (such as ZIP, 7z and Bzip2 files), extracts them on our servers and lets you browse and download the extracted contents. Where offered, you can also import archives from and save results to your own Google Drive. The service is provided free of charge and is funded by advertising.

3. No account required

You can use the service without registering. You must be at least 16 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to use it.

4. Your responsibilities

You may only upload files that you own or are otherwise entitled to process. In particular, you must not use the service to:

• process content that is illegal or infringes the rights of others, including copyrights, trademarks and privacy rights;
• distribute or store malware, or attempt to attack, overload or gain unauthorised access to our systems;
• bypass technical protection measures (such as passwords) on archives you are not authorised to open;
• use automated scripts or bots to send large numbers of requests, or resell the service, without our prior written permission.

You are responsible for the files you upload and for any passwords you enter. We may block access or delete files at any time if we suspect a violation of these terms.

5. Your files

You keep all rights to your files. We do not claim ownership of them and use them only to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. Uploaded and extracted files are deleted automatically within two hours, and you can delete them earlier with the "Delete all" button. The service is not a storage or backup service: please always keep your own copy of your files.

6. Availability

We aim to keep the service available and working correctly, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may change, limit or discontinue features, file size limits or the service as a whole at any time.

7. No warranty

All services by this online extraction utility are provided free of charge "as is", in the hope that they are useful, without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that every archive can be extracted, for example if it is damaged, uses an unsupported format or the password is unknown.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss of data, lost profits or indirect damages arising from the use of the service. This limitation does not apply to liability for intent or gross negligence, to damage resulting from injury to life, body or health, or to any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

9. Advertising and third-party services

The service displays advertising provided by Google. Links to third-party websites and services, including Google Drive, are subject to the terms and privacy policies of those providers. We are not responsible for their content or practices.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when our service or the law changes. The current version is always available at unzip.online/terms/, with the date of the last update shown at the top. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Estonia. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of the country where you have your habitual residence.
